Bio: Jasmine Chung works as a Senior Manager, Talent Development & Learning at Fidelity International. She is also the regional co-lead for the LGBT+ network in Hong Kong and a mental health champion.

As a regional co-lead of the LGBT+ network in Hong Kong in Fidelity International, Jasmine has been privileged to work alongside the Network Chairs and regional leads and passionate volunteers to drive change and promote equality. The network serves as a safe and supportive space for LGBT+ employees and allies with the aim to create an inclusive culture for all employees. By raising awareness, celebrating LGBT+ dates, providing resources and networking opportunities as well as education to foster understanding among colleagues and the wider community. Jasmine believes that fostering an inclusive environment is not only the right thing to do, but it also drives innovation and organisational success.
As a volunteer regional co-lead of the LGBT+ network, Jasmine has supported LGBT+ inclusion in Hong Kong as well as other APAC locations she works in. She has organised local and global webinars, panel discussions with speakers from the LGBT+ communities, LGBT+ ally training sessions (in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese) as well as reviewing company policy to ensure it is LGBT+ inclusive. Fidelity was also awarded as a Top 10 Employer in the Hong Kong LGBT+ Inclusion Index 2023 by Community Business.
Jasmine is an active member of the APAC D&I Working Group and has promoted intersectional activities and disability inclusion events including webinars and panel discussion. As a mental health champion, Jasmine has organised training for those in the Hong Kong office. Jasmine is a member of the neurodiversity ERG and the Asian voices. Jasmine is determined to drive a more globally inclusive culture in Fidelity. Jasmine has posted some of her activities on her LinkedIn profile.
There are a lot of challenges faced by those who are LGBT+ individually both personally and professionally. If everyone of us can be more inclusive and respectful, the world can be better, and people can be their true selves. Then company performances will also be positively impacted as well. Equity is important to provide fair opportunities including hiring, promotion, managing, and in every single aspect in the employee life cycle.
Firstly, Jasmine is proud that she has designed and facilitated a lot of LGBT+ training and workshops to raise awareness and build a more inclusive culture. Secondly, Fidelity was featured as a Top 10 employer in the Hong Kong LGBT+ Inclusion Index 2023 by Community Business. Thirdly, as a proud ally, Jasmine makes her support visible and bold. LGBT+ individuals trust her and share their stories and challenges comfortably. Jasmine is a minority being an Asian woman living in the US for 9 years. Jasmine could relate to the feeling of being part of a marginalised group and not being respected on a few occasions. Jasmine is proud to be a caring ally that supports others and co-creates a better and happier world for all of us.
