FAQs

How long does a mentoring cycle last?

Whilst mentoring can bridge relationships which can last forever, LGBT Great recommends that each mentoring cycle runs for 12 months. This is not binary and can be determined by either party involved.  

Is the Mentoring Programme open to LGBTQ+ individuals only?

Our mentoring programme is open to both LGBT+ folks and allies.  Our mentees and mentors are from both the LGBTQ+ community and supportive allies.

What is expected from a mentee?

Being a member mentee is a hugely rewarding process. The role of the mentee is to connect and develop a mentoring relationship with the mentor; develop a clear understanding about what they seek from the programme; and to be open and honest about their challenges and opportunities at work.
