As a mentor, I am committed to:
* Being open and honest both in terms of our discussions and any feedback provided that is confidential and remains between us
*Spending time to work through areas of interest to you to put you in the best place to achieve your goals and aims
*Sharing my learnings, both positive and negative to help our discussions
I have been fortunate enough to be both a mentor and mentee several times each during my career and find both extremely rewarding. We run an active global mentoring programme at Columbia Threadneedle Investments and which has enabled me to meet colleagues across our global business.
I have thoroughly enjoyed being a mentor through the LGBT+ Great programme also and have learnt a huge amount through reverse mentoring as part of this as well as had the opportunity to mentor outside of my current company and meet new people.
