About
Bio: Rebecca is co-CEO of Arisaig Partners, an independent investment management boutique established for over 27 years which invests in the long-term sustainable growth of emerging markets through public equities. Arisaig Partner’s investment ethos in emerging markets is purposeful growth ie profitable and meaningful growth which is good for people, and the world, with a focus on leveraging the needs of large populations. They have around $3bn in AUM in their Global, Asia and Next Generation funds.
Rebecca’s impact-driven investment strategy chimes with her personal values. Openly gay in a traditionally male-dominated industry, she is an important role model for women in finance. She is an advocate for GAIN (Girls are Investors), a charity set up to improve gender diversity in investment management. Having graduated from Cambridge (Natural Sciences) where she represented the university in rowing, Rebecca got her MBA from INSEAD and completed an Advanced Management programme at Harvard. She played football for Tottenham Hotspur and now lives with her wife and twin daughters in Sussex.
‘Being an LGBTQ woman in a traditional, male dominated industry has made me committed to being as vocal as possible in supporting LGBTQ and gender issues both here, and in my work in emerging markets. I see it as one of the privileges of my role at Arisaig.’
