Bio: Melanie Roberts – Partner and Head of Charities
Melanie joined Sarasin & Partners in 2011 and was appointed Head of Charities in January 2023. She has over 25 years’ investment experience and is responsible for the management of 48 charity clients, representing over £1 billion of assets. Melanie speaks regularly at Sarasin seminars and has been the Editor of Sarasin’s quarterly publication, the House Report since 2012. She is a Non-Executive Director of the BlackRock North American Income Trust and a co-opted Trustee of the Carpenters’ Livery Company. Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners, Melanie spent 16 years at Newton Investment Management as a fund manager of charity, private client and pension fund portfolios. She qualified with a degree in Modern Languages from Durham University and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
