Lee Marshall

Chief of Staff at Church of England Pensions Board

About

Bio: Working on, promoting, and finding solutions on EDI issues, particularly for the LGBT+ communities, has been Lee’s passion for over 30 years. He is employed as the Chief of Staff of the Church of England Pensions Board, where he is responsible for the efficient and effective governance of the organisation. This includes EDI matters at trustee level and under his leadership, the Board has not only undertaken a full diversity profile of its governing body but been the only National Church Institution to publish the results. He works across the institutions on EDI matters, supporting staff and acting as a role model and ally. Outside the office, Lee chairs the Diversity Project Charity, sits on the Board of the Head On Foundation (sports related brain injuries) and in the past has chaired the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation and Ditch the Label, both in the anti-bullying space. He is regular speaker at events and was awarded the Canterbury Cross, one of the highest awards the Church of England can bestow on individuals, in 2023 for his work on EDI by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
