Bio: Edgar leads Morningstar’s Index Investable Product Sales in the Americas and is a member of the executive team that works to license new and innovative Morningstar Indexes. Edgar loves working for Morningstar because they put investors first and empower investor success and help them make good investments decisions
Edgar grew up and was educated in Mexico and now lives in the New York. He spent a few years in Spain where he went to grad school and started his career in finance working for Banco Santander in Madrid.
Edgar’s biggest passion is travelling, he also has a great admiration for gastronomy. His best friend thought him how to appreciate the art behind the gastronomy of every restaurant he goes to.
Edgar thinks we have a long way to go in terms of equality in many areas, LGBT+ rights, pay gaps, racial and gender inequalities, everywhere in the world. Being part of several minority groups himself, motivates and inspires Edgar to support important equality initiatives and programmes wherever he can.
