Bio: Paul Thompson is the founder of LGBT Capital, the first specialist Investment firm focused on the LGBT sector. Paul is also Chairman of Equality Wealth, the first International Wealth management specialist serving the LGBT Community.
Paul has a career spanning more than 25 years in the Investment Management sector and was the first foreign CEO of a domestic fund management company in China. He also had management roles at Fidelity Investments, Prudential Financial and Goldman Sachs. Paul has always been passionate about LGBT diversity and this was a major factor in his decision to leave the corporate world' to start LGBT Capital in 2010. Paul believes the economic power of the LGBT market can have a significant impact in affecting change. Paul lives in Asia, where he has made his home.
Paul believes that actively promoting a greater understanding of the potential offered by the LGBT Community globally, including as a potential client base with very significant purchasing power, will lead to increased respect for the LGBT Community, and ultimately, to greater freedoms and equality for this Community.
