About
Bio: Micky is the Executive Assistant to the Chief Risk Officer at Janus Henderson Investors and joined the firm in early 2019. Throughout her career she has worked at several corporates and also not-for-profits with charitable foundations, including a Housing Association in West London and a work programme provider in Devon. Working with inspiring leaders and colleagues from varying socioeconomic backgrounds across different sectors, areas and countries has led to her becoming more involved in the equality agenda. Micky believes that workplaces and individuals have a collective responsibility to support under-represented groups to help impact society.
At Janus Henderson Investors, Micky has become more active and involved by supporting the Executive Sponsor of the EMEA Chapter of the LGBT+ employee network. Out of work, Micky's allyship to others continues, and she is a befriender to an elderly member of her local community, which has been especially important in recent times as the vulnerable have been left even more isolated and in need of company and practical help.
Mickey comments: "I am a proud to be part of the LGBT+ community and an ally; as workplaces celebrate inclusivity they make it easier for individual acceptance and for businesses to become a community. This is a community made up of different people and different thinkers' which can only enhance what we do.
