About
Bio: Keith has worked at Franklin Templeton Investments (FTI) for over 20 years. A US based asset management company headquartered in California, FTI has over 9,000 employees in 35 countries. In the UK the firm has offices in London, Leeds and Edinburgh with a combined workforce of around 350. Having worked in various areas of the business Keith now leads an International Project Management Office with a team located in Europe, India and South East Asia.
As a firm, Franklin Templeton embraces the individual differences and the wealth of perspectives brought by global diversity. A key component is supporting and encouraging employees to bring their whole selves to work.
Keith is the lead for the UK chapter of Pride@FTI, the firm's LGBT network, which over the last few years has made significant strides in raising awareness and visibility for LGBT staff in the UK. Partnering closely with HR to ensure policies are inclusive and increasing the visibility of the already inclusive nature of benefits and support available to all staff. Beyond the UK, the global footprint of FTI, and Keith's team, has driven a passion to support LGBT staff in some of the more challenging geographies of the world.
Keith is a proud Alumni of Stonewall's 2016 Leadership Programme for which he credits the more authentic leadership style he strives to apply on a daily basis. He says: "The power of visible role models simply can't be underestimated, standing up and being visible as a gay man will, I hope, encourage all LGBT staff to feel comfortable to bring their whole selves to work. It's only when you make yourself visible that you really start to understand the power of visible LGBT role models."
Keith lives in Edinburgh, his home town, with his civil partner and 2 terriers, and they (not the dogs!) enjoy travelling and exploring South East Asia looking for that perfect beach and enjoying the amazing food along the way.
