About
Bio: Archie MacLellan is an Investment Manager at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management (CGWM).
He joined CGWM after graduating with a BA (Hons) in European Politics from the University of Leeds in 2012. A fully qualified CISI Level 7 Chartered Wealth Manager, he has been promoted to work directly for the Head of UK Front Office managing multi-asset institutional and private client portfolios. Archie is also a member of the CGWM Alternatives investment committee, with a focus on REITs. He was previously the Consumer Services Sector Specialist for the CGWM Stock Selection Committee.
Archie understands first-hand the challenges often faced by people within the LGBT+ community. Taking a few years to come out in the workplace, he was lucky to receive strong support within CGWM and wants to ensure this will be the same for others across the industry. Archie is a founding member of the CGWM Diversity Team which promotes an inclusive culture within the firm, built on openness and trust. His focus is on LGBT+ initiatives, so colleagues will feel there is a supportive environment for their development and happiness at CGWM. He also concentrates on how he can combine this culture with his own experiences and knowledge, to provide a personal and tailored relationship to existing and new clients.
As a top-ten independent wealth manager in the UK, CGWM definitely has a role to play in supporting a culture of diversity and openness - and Archie is passionate about being part of the discussion on how this culture can improve the performance and future of the business, and industry as a whole.
Archie lives in London, having originally moved down from where he grew up next to Loch Lomond in Scotland. He enjoys cycling to work, spending time skiing, sailing and making a mess in the kitchen!
