Simon Davis
Director – CEO Office at Brooks Macdonald
About
Bio: Simon is currently Director, CEO Office of Brooks Macdonald having started in March 2020. He has worked in Wealth Management since 2013, when he became a Financial Advisor. Since then, he has worked in a variety of roles including product and proposition design, transformation and more recently, strategy.
In his role, Simon is primarily focussed on supporting the CEO and Executive Committee day-to-day, working alongside key internal and external stakeholders. Typically, this includes leading on key cross-functional collaboration projects supporting the business in delivering for its clients and advisors.
Simon is from Hastings, East Sussex. Here he finished his A-Levels and with dreams of a gap year before University, he started working as a cashier at a high street bank. Enjoying his role more than expected, he decided to stay and grow his career. Simon met his husband Philip in 2011, and in 2018, they married in a small ceremony in New York's City Hall.
Born into an accepting and inclusive family, Simon shared his LGBT status at the age of 19. While not suffering immediate challenge from those close to him, he has experienced prejudice since identifying. Simon was a member of his previous organisation's Pride' group and last year helped to organise their representation at Jersey Pride. He actively supports Pride and is keen to share stories and offer support to those who may be less fortunate in feeling comfortable identifying, or just be an active listener where someone is experiencing challenge.
