About

Bio: Jonathon (Jono) Stubbs is Head of International HR & Global HR Advisers. HR teams across the regions of EMEA, APAC and LATAM report to him and partner with senior regional leaders on strategic plans, talent and future growth potential. In addition, he maintains oversight of any regulatory demands and risk management considerations relating to HR across the International remit. For the UK he is the approved SMF18 and SMF22 for HR under the Senior Manager's Regime and Chair's the Company's Conduct, Fitness and Propriety Panel. He is a member of BNY Mellon's Poland Board and the UK Bank's Executive Committee as well as a member of the Global HR Leadership team; International Management team and member of the EMEA region's Executive Committee reporting locally to its' Chairman and Head of International Hani Kablawi and functionally to Jolen Anderson Global Head of Human Resources.

Jono joined BNY Mellon as Lead HR Business Partner for EMEA in 2008, supporting Asset Servicing, and moved into the role of Sector Lead for Business Partner Groups in 2013. He was appointed Director of HR EMEA in mid-2015 and in January 2018 appointed as Global Snr. Director of Human Resources for Asset Servicing.

During his tenure with Asset Servicing, Jono served as HR Project Lead during the acquisition of BNY Mellon's German business, spending much of the two-year period in Frankfurt.

Jono is Global Chair of PRISM, BNY Mellon's LGBT+ Employee Resource Group. PRISM has a membership of over 2,500 and fosters an open and supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning employees and their allies.

Jono has a multi-sector background, having worked for General Motors, Camelot Group and Rio Tinto in previous years, and his experience within the Financial Services sector began at HSBC.

Jono is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (FCIPD), holds an MSc in Strategic Personnel & Development, a BA (Hons) 2:1 Business Studies degree (specialising in HRM), and a Pg. Cert in Counselling.
