We are pleased to announce that we have created an exciting new opportunity to influence the LGBT+ inclusion agenda for the investment & savings industry. We’re looking for exceptional, passionate people to join Project 1000 as our new Role Model Ambassadors.

Project 1000 is our 5-year drive to spotlight 1000 inspiring LGBT+ and ally individuals globally within the investment & savings industry. Role models are spotlighted on our website, and also have the opportunity to participate in our campaigns and events. Project 1000 is free to participate in, and collaborates with the Diversity Project and other initiatives and organisations.

Following the announcement of Colette Comerford as our Lead Role Model Ambassador, we are now building a strong team to form the Role Model Ambassador Group (RMAG). We’re looking to build a truly diverse team, across all sorts of identities; gender expression, sexuality, and culturally across multiple locations. We want to encourage anyone who is interested in supporting the advancement of inclusion across the investment & savings industry to apply.

Our Role Model Ambassadors will work closely with the LGBT Great team, and take a leading role in our campaigns, with the opportunity to shape the direction of the industry. This is a critical part of our visibility pillar. With 92% of employees in the investment & savings industry looking for visible LGBT+ and ally role models at board level, the need for our role model programme is clear.
