Overview

In this awareness session, LGBT Great explores the fundamentals of neurodiverse identities and the importance of neurodiversity in the workplace. The significant overlap between neurodiverse individuals and the LGBTQ+ community is then underscored using the latest data, which is followed by practical tips for intersectional allyship that individuals and organisations can incorporate to make workplaces neuro and LGBTQ+ inclusive.  

Learning Outcomes for Attendees:

  • Learning the Basics: Attain foundational knowledge on the terminology, history and misconceptions surrounding neurodiversity. (~20 minutes)
     
  • Practical Tips: Explore pragmatic actions that you can incorporate to create a neuroinclusive workplace. (~10 minutes)
     
  • The Intersection: Gain data-driven insights on the significant intersections of neurodiverse individuals and the LGBTQ+ community. (~10 minutes)
     
  • The 9 Archetypes: Discover the nine intersectional allyship archetypes and subsequently incorporate allyship practices with one(s) that resonate with you the most. (~15 minutes)
     
  • Dedicated Q/A: A dedicated Q/A slot at the end of the session. (~5 minutes)

 

Length: 45-60 minutes

Format:  Zoom/Teams Webinar, PowerPoint Presentation with live Q&A, chat and live polling. (In-Person sessions available on-demand)

Note: LGBT Great will use Slido polls and questions to engage with the audience and make the session interactive.
