This session will explore the continued importance of allyship and delve into the definition of what it means to be an ally. We will examine how allyship fosters inclusion within organisations and uncover the five key traits that make an ally truly impactful. The session will conclude by discussing the concept of the allyship growth zone, recognising that allyship is a continuous journey.
Learning Outcomes for Attendees:
- Why Allyship Matters in 2025: We will begin by examining the evolving landscape and discussing why allyship remains crucial in the present day. (~5 minutes)
- Defining Allyship: This segment will clarify the meaning of allyship, exploring what it means to be an ally and the responsibilities involved. (~10 minutes)
- Allyship and Inclusion: We will discuss the direct link between allyship and inclusion, examining how allyship contributes to creating more inclusive organisations. (~10 minutes)
- 5 Traits of Impactful Allies: This section will unveil and explore the five key traits that characterise impactful allies, providing practical examples and guidance. (~20 minutes)
- The Allyship Growth Zone: We will introduce the concept of the allyship growth zone, emphasising that allyship is a continuous journey of learning and development. (~10 minutes)
- Dedicated Q&A: A dedicated slot for Q/A (~5 minutes)
