About
Bio: Sean is a Leadership Development Manager with Vanguard Asset Management where he has worked for the last three years. He specialises in improving business performance through systematic problem solving and the delivery of fit for purpose Change programs, HR processes and Learning solutions.
His early career was spent in various HR roles in Financial services, then after a spell as a consultant with Accenture, he chose to specialise in Talent Development with senior posts at Reuters, Novartis, PwC and BP. Sean has a first class degree in Maths from Norwich University and a MBA from Warwick University. He holds duel Irish/British citizenship and currently lives in Richmond, Surrey with his wife and two daughters, all of whom have become committed LGBT+ allies.
Sean is a strong D&I advocate and hugely keen to influence Vanguard's culture for the better. He recently joined Vanguard Europe's start up network for LGBT+ crew as a member of its council. The council is chaired by Cathy Denyer O'Leary and, under her leadership, Sean has been responsible for reviewing Vanguard's policies to ensure they include the most up to date thinking on LGBT+ inclusivity.
After this review, Sean intends to ensure that all new potential recruits to Vanguard are aware of its inclusive environment by building extra communication into its recruitment practices.
