About
Bio: Max is a credit trader/portfolio manager for Vanguard Asset Management's active Fixed income funds in London. Previously, he supported Vanguard's European executive team as a Chief of Staff for the European operations in Strategy and business planning and worked in the Institutional Services team, supporting clients, sales and product teams.
Previous work experience includes investment analysis and research for a boutique asset manager specializing in convertible and subordinated credit as well as multiple years of real estate investment management in Hamburg, Germany. Max has lived in Switzerland, Germany and studied in the UK where, with the help of a Scholarship for Academic Excellence he graduated from Regent's University with a Bachelor in Financial Management and a MSc in Investment Management from Cass Business School, University of London.
Besides his passion for sailing, motorcycles and London's culture scene, Max is a member London's LGBTQ+ community and an unapologetic supporter of inclusion and diversity in the investment industry and beyond. He leads the Events team for Vanguard Europe's OPEN (Out Professional Network) organizing events for our LGBTQ+ crew and their allies. Max believes that although the right to identity is self-evident, the values of inclusion and care need to be taught proactively, together with the behaviours that lead to them. It is thus up to everyone to learn, teach and encourage the person next to them to remove the existing barriers for all minorities, especially LGBTQ+, to be themselves without constrain. He believes that the financial services industry has to play a bigger role in leading change towards those values and that the resulting diversity will allow us to harness the full intellectual and emotional potential of our community.
