Eliot began his career in financial services after finishing his university degree in public relations. He sparked an early interest in inclusion and diversity, particularly for the LGBT+ community, and was eager to make progressive changes in his workplace.

Four months into his current role as a Press Officer at Royal London, Eliot helped launch an LGBT+ Employee Network called PRIDE. The network, which has over 250 members, aims to develop insight and awareness, build confidence and foster an inclusive workforce where employees feel able to bring their whole selves to work. Eliot takes the role of Communications Lead of PRIDE on the network's committee, combining his comms background with his passion for LGBT+ inclusion.

Eliot says: "Being a part of the PRIDE Network has been an incredible and eye-opening journey. Even now I get messages from allies asking how they can get involved and support their colleagues. The network has even given some employees the confidence to come out at work, which is a fantastic result. It just goes to show the importance of visible inclusion in the workplace and how progressive changes can make a huge difference."
