Kate Kneisley

Senior Product Analyst at Natixis Investment Managers

About

Bio: Kate first entered the investment management industry working for Meketa Investment Group specialising in responding to RFPs. An experienced content writer, she assists with sales support and business development initiatives. In her current position at Natixis Investment Managers, she works to create new content in several areas, especially around ESG and Diversity and Inclusion.

At Natixis Investment Managers, Kate is a founding member of the Natixis Pride Network-US and head of the Events Committee, coordinating with several Pride members and allies to cultivate meaningful, educational, and fun events. She is eager to see the investment industry look like the communities surrounding it, and suggests informative events that will raise awareness about intersectional issues. As the Pride Network grows, she hopes to continue to take part in committees and encourage allies to join the group to help make Natixis a visibly safe and welcoming place of employment.

Kate has a Master's degree in music and is an experienced opera singer. About a year ago, she decided that she wanted to combine her passions for singing and performance and her passion for social justice, and created Caritas Arts, a non-profit that will feature concerts themed around social justice issues, including LGBTQ+ equality, in order to raise funds for different charities and activist organizations that correspond to those themes. The groundwork is being done in order to begin live, outdoor performances in July 2021.

Kate comments: "I am proud to be recognised as a visible role model in Project 1000 and this initiative is important in helping to transform the perception of our industry. Looking ahead, I would like to see more representation of non-binary and transgender people and a much greater level of awareness across the LGBT+ agenda overall".
