Margret comments: "Being an active champion of inclusion and equality is critical to creating a truly inclusive workplace. Our business draws strength from diversity and is purposeful in our drive to do the right thing for our investors. Having worked for global businesses in different jurisdictions I've seen the transformative effect on the culture of a workplace when people feel safe, supported and empowered to play to their own strengths, individually and as part of a team. Improving the work environment for LGBT+ people through allies is a powerful way to drive positive change, helping to accelerate progress on equality and will kick-start the conversations in more challenging environments. I've seen first-hand the transformative effect on the culture of a workplace that results when people feel safe, supported and empowered to play to their own strengths, individually and as part of a team. Truly understanding the combination of people's identity, background and experiences really matters to me, and I believe that we can all play a powerful role as allies for inclusion."
