Bio: Shivani is a Operations & Transformation Manager with Legal and General (L&G) where she has worked since 2017. She has had a few roles within L&G and her current role largely focusses on looking at transformation activity within LGR Investments. Previously, she has worked for AVIVA and Retirement Advantage providing actuarial expertise on their Life and Protection products.
Shivani is a proud Ally of L&G's LGBT+ Allies Network and she is passionate about supporting the advancement of LGBT+ rights in the workplace and beyond. Over the years that she has been working in the financial industry, she has realised that even the highly intelligent individuals are not concerned standing up to behaviour or language that is not LGBTQI+ friendly. She is determined to change that and seeks to create an open and inclusive working environment. She still feels that she has a lot to learn and have found that following inspiring pages/people on social media is the best form of self-education these days. She also tries to get involved in as many Ally training events and is looking to get actively getting involved in programmes supporting the LGBTQI+ community.
