Partner at Lane Clark & Peacock

About

Bio: Jon is a Partner at Lane, Clark & Peacock (LCP), based in London. Jon has more than 10 years' experience advising both companies and pension scheme trustees on an extensive range of pensions funding and benefit issues. He has a varied client base, from charities to FTSE 100 companies, and from smaller schemes to multi-billion pound schemes.

Jon is proud to be one of LCP's Partner Champions for our Multicultural Network, which is committed to supporting a race-inclusive culture at LCP and highlighting how our multicultural backgrounds can make work more innovative and interesting. LCP's Multicultural Network sits alongside our Women's Network, LGBT+ Network and our Wellbeing Network to make up the four strands of LCP's Diversity & Inclusion Group.

The role of our Partner Champions is to support our D&I Networks and help them to spread their message within LCP and externally. D&I is extremely important to LCP - we recognise that in order to stay at the top of our industry we need to be ensuring we have a strong and diverse range of talent, and an inclusive atmosphere so that talent can thrive. We were therefore very honoured to win four awards for supporting diversity in 2018 and 2019.

In addition to his work on the Multicultural Network, Jon is a keen ally of the LGBT+ community and makes sure to attend the various events run by LCP's LGBT+ Network, which include TED talks, wide ranging discussions, and presentations by the various charities we support. These include the Albert Kennedy Trust, which works to provide safe homes and better futures for young LGBTQ+ people in Manchester, London, Bristol and Newcastle.

Jon comments: "I believe everyone should feel included and welcome at their place of work, and everyone should have the opportunity to thrive regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, religion or belief. I also believe having a strong D&I culture is one of those great things that is both the right thing to do but also good for our business - having a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture ensures we generate the best ideas and we attract and retain the best talent, which are both key to being successful."
