About

Bio: Cat is qualified actuary and a partner in LCP's insurance practice. She has over 15 years of consulting experience and helps her clients understand and manage their insurance risks better. Her particular fields of expertise are Solvency II and risk management and she is experienced in communicating to boards and risk committees across a variety of topics. She holds a Masters degree in Physics from Imperial University.

She is a Co-Founder of LCP's LGBT+ network and works with LCP's wider Diversity and Inclusion Group to drive forward LGBT+ initiatives across the firm. Cat also sits on the Senior Advisory Board to LINK, the insurance industry's LGBTQ+ network.

She believes passionately in the importance of nurturing a people-first, inclusive and diverse workplace and works closely with LCP's management team to ensure these values are embedded in LCP's corporate strategy and culture. She is delighted that LCP has already received a number of industry awards to recognise its work in promoting and supporting diversity, including at the Women in Pensions awards, Women in Insurance awards, UK Pensions awards and Insurance ERM awards.

Cat is a qualified Mental Health First Aider, as well as having trained with Stonewall on being an LGBT+ Role Model.

She comments: "I am really excited to be featured in this Project 1000 Pride initiative. Allies provide a clear way of showing others that they aren't alone and that role models and support systems are in place across our industry and beyond. Allies are a particularly important part of showing support to all minority groups. Knowing that someone doesn't have to be just like you to support and actively promote LGBT+ causes creates that "safe space" where everyone can thrive and prosper. I'm so proud that my non-LGBT+ colleagues are so genuinely and publicly supportive of our LGBT+ initiatives and it's a big contributor to the success of LCP's own LGBT+ network."
