Bio: Scott is a lawyer, leader, tech-enthusiast, chartered company secretary, diversity & inclusion advocate and mentor.
Presently Scott is Executive Legal Counsel & Head of Legal (EMEA) at First Sentier Investors, a global asset manager focused on long-term performance and responsible investment. Prior to joining First Sentier Investors in early 2019, Scott worked at Janus Henderson Investors. He began his career in Sydney in 2005 and relocated to London in 2011 as a corporate associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
Scott believes that diverse and inclusive businesses have the greatest chance of unlocking the full potential of their staff, delivering for their clients, creating lasting value for their stakeholders, innovating and adapting to change and of making a positive and enduring contribution to society.
Scott mentors the next generation of diverse legal talent via the InterLaw Connect mentoring program and has been involved in diversity & inclusion initiatives within the UK investment industry since 2014.
Scott is qualified to practice law in England & Wales and Australia, he holds a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney and bachelor degrees in Law and in Finance from the University of Newcastle (Australia).
