About
Bio: Richard joined LCP in 2015. He is currently a Consultant and Team Leader in the Insurance Consulting team. Richard works on a range of areas within insurance, including assessing the adequacy of insurers' reserves, validating capital models, and supporting on insurance business transfers, including Part VIIs. He has a particular area of interest in motor insurance, advising some of the largest personal lines insurers in the UK as well as leading LCP's annual motor insurance survey and other initiatives.
Richard has a degree in mathematics from the University of Cambridge and qualified as an actuary in 2018. He is a strong chess player, holding the FIDE Master title and ranked in the top 100 players in the UK, and is a keen, albeit beginner, golfer.
Richard regularly attends talks on diversity and inclusion and has taken the time to learn more about LGBT+ identities through awareness training and education. He is delighted that LCP's hard work in fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace has been recognised in the form of several industry awards, including at the Women in Insurance awards and Insurance ERM awards.
Richard comments that:

It's not enough just to stand on the side-lines, we all have to play our part to promote diversity and inclusion, both at work and in wider society. I want to be a visible ally to the LGBT+ community and I hope this will inspire others to do the same".
