About
Bio: Jinita is a passionate LGBT+ ally and joined LCP in 2006. She is currently a Principal and team leader within the Insurance Consulting Department. She specialises in helping clients to understand and quantify their reserves and the uncertainty surrounding these, perform validation of Solvency II internal models and technical provisions and assists with Part VII transfers. Jinita also helps to lead roundtables for Non-Executive Directors.
Jinita was born in Kenya and lived there for the first eighteen years of her life before moving to the UK. She holds a degree in Actuarial Science from City University in London and qualified as an actuary in 2011. She is a busy parent of two boys, enjoys travelling and has recently taken up running!
Diversity, equality and inclusion are central to Jinita's values and she takes an active role across LCP. She is a Principal Champion for the Multicultural Network and encourages colleagues to learn about different backgrounds and identities. Jinita regularly attends Ted talks and has taken the time to learn more about LGBT+ identities through awareness training and education. She has been inspired by other visible allies across the industry and recognises that these are important in creating an empowering environment for LGBT+ colleagues and clients.
Jinita comments that:
