About
Bio: Rebecca is an ombudsman at the Financial Ombudsman Service, where she manages a team of investigators and makes final decisions to resolve disputes between consumers and financial businesses. Rebecca is co-chair of the ombudsman’s LGBT+ network Outright, and a committed advocate for inclusion and diversity within the service.
Before joining the ombudsman as an adjudicator in 2010, Rebecca was researcher for a Member of Parliament. She was appointed to the ombudsman panel in January 2017. Outside work, she’s active within her local LGBT+ community, helping to organise Transpals, a social support group for trans people in Croydon, London. Her hobbies include science fiction fandom and video gaming. She’s a member of a city livery company and a fellow of the RSA.
