Bio: Daniel Cancela is a leader in LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion, combining corporate leadership with academic expertise. As a DEI Recruiting Program Manager at Amazon and Global Co-President of glamazon (Amazon's LGBTQ+ employee group), he is dedicated to supporting and promoting initiatives that create inclusive workplaces for all. Since joining Amazon in 2016, Daniel has taken on various leadership roles within glamazon, including board member, country chair, EMEA regional lead, and now global co-president. Over the years, he has spearheaded impactful programs designed to create inclusive experiences for queer employees, advocating for visibility and support within the workplace.

In addition to his work at Amazon, Daniel recently completed a PhD, focusing on the workplace inclusion experiences of transgender and gender-diverse employees. His research has contributed to both academic knowledge and practical solutions aimed at improving workplace inclusion. As a cisgender man, Daniel leverages his position to amplify trans voices, advocate for inclusive policies, and raise awareness within global organizations.
