About
Bio: Originally born and raised in Durban, South Africa, I spent most of my formative years there. I pursued a degree in Computer Science and Information Systems at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, laying the foundation for a career rooted in technology and problem-solving. I've been working for almost 8 years now, but began my professional journey as a Software Engineer at South Africa’s largest Independent management consulting firm, where I developed robust technical expertise and gained exposure to a wide range of industries.
As I transitioned into a Product Owner role, I discovered a passion for shaping product strategy, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving roadmaps that enhance client experience and deliver measurable value. Today, I am an experienced Product Owner with a background in software engineering and a proven track record in both the consulting and financial sectors. I bring a unique combination of technical knowledge and business insight that enables me to lead cross-functional teams and deliver innovative, client-focused solutions.
In my current role, I focus on improving the digital experience for private clients, specifically across the web and mobile channels they use.
Beyond my core responsibilities, I proudly serve as a co-lead of the Investec Pride Network, which supports LGBTQ+ colleagues and promotes education for allies. I take pride in our advocacy for fairness, our commitment to creating a supportive environment, and our efforts to empower everyone to bring their whole selves to work. I’m also actively engaged in the broader Belonging, Inclusion, and Diversity initiatives at Investec, constantly seeking to learn more about others’ experiences and the challenges they face.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, listening to music (and collecting vinyl records), attending CrossFit classes, persevering through my running journey, and exploring the world of wine.
