Since leaving higher education, I have worked in the financial services industry, gaining experience across several large organisations.
For the past 13 years I have specialised working in the transfer agency space project managing the implementation of corporate actions such as fund launches, mergers etc. These projects range from small to large scale changes spanning multiple teams and organisations.
I joined Fidelity International at the end of 2022 as a Product Change Manager, where I manage corporate actions taking place across Fidelity’s fund offering. This involves overseeing the operational team’s implementation of the various corporate actions.
Since mid-2024, I have co-chaired the UK LGBTQ+ network and actively participated in LGBTQ+ networks in my previous roles. I am committed to advancing the LGBTQ+ agenda within Fidelity, generating new ideas to ensure all staff can bring their whole selves to work and feel comfortable and supported. Additionally, I aim to promote Fidelity's efforts in the LGBTQ+ space externally. Fidelity also has a buddy scheme that provides support to employees, and I am registered as an available buddy.
Outside of work, I can frequently be found cycling considerable distances, often halfway across the country or even further. Additionally, I adore taking portrait photography and relish the opportunity to explore and capture moments with my camera. While I am uncertain if it is categorised as a sport, I also play lawn bowls at a high level.
Mentoring offers an opportunity to share thoughts and strategies that have proven successful. A mentee can gain valuable insights into the challenges of project management and how to bring their whole self to their work.
