About

Bio: Ferhana Jameel is a Diversity and Inclusion Advisor at Janus Henderson Investors, a position she has held since 2023. In this role, she is responsible for driving sustainable inclusion through effective stakeholder engagement and developing our corporate social responsibility strategy. Internally, she fosters the firm’s 10+ diversity and inclusion employee resource groups, chairs the EMEA regional council, sits on the JH Foundation as an Advisory Board Member and leads the learning and development strategy for diversity, equity, and inclusion. She is also currently a race equity consultant with MA Consultancy, training to be a qualified transformative coach focusing on social impact coaching, and volunteers as a mentor for equity-led organisation Muslim Women Connect. Prior to joining the firm, she was a diversity and inclusion partner at DICE from 2022. Earlier in her career, she held several roles at Pearson from 2011, most recently as global DEI Communications Manager from 2021.

Ferhana received a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from City University and an MSc in organisational psychology from the University of London, Birkbeck College, with a research focus on female senior leaders of colour, identity work theory and intersectionality theory. She has 5 years of diversity, equity, and inclusion experience.

In 2024, Ferhana produced the cross-industry panel discussion ‘No Space for Racism – how to develop and deepen community within your organisation’ for Diversity Project with 300+ attendees, to help organisations find a way forward after the UK summer race riots and inform race and religion guidelines. Ferhana was also selected as Women in Investment Awards Finalist for Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year.
