Steven is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and management. With a career spanning over two decades, Steven has demonstrated skills in strategic planning, team development, and operational efficiency. Throughout his career in the Securities Service and Wealth Management industry, Steven has successfully led numerous projects and initiatives, driving significant growth and innovation with a strong focus on client services, client experience, and relationship management.
Currently, Steven serves as the Banks, Broker Dealer, and Insurance Segment Lead within Europe for Client Experience in BNY's Asset Servicing business, as well as the Global Service Director for a strategic enterprise-wide client relationship. In this role, Steven is responsible for thought leadership, streamlining operating models for efficiency, and cost reduction. Steven is an active member of the BNY London Site Leadership committee and Co-Chair of the Extended Leadership team at BNY. In these roles, Steven focuses on enhancing client and brand awareness, fostering a positive and inclusive culture, and ensuring operational excellence. The committees' key objectives include supporting revenue generation, attracting and retaining talent, and ensuring a consistent approach across other BNY sites.
As the Co-Chair of BNY's LGBTQ+ Employee/Business Resource Group "PRISM," Steven is dedicated to promoting allyship, advancing inclusion, and elevating the visibility of LGBTQ+ employees to create a supportive and inclusive community where employees can feel comfortable being themselves. Additionally, Steven represents BNY on the Interbank Committee alongside 45 financial firms in the City of London, advocating for a more inclusive workplace through educational seminars, collaborative events, and networking opportunities. Beyond the business case, promoting diversity and inclusion is simply the right thing to do. It helps to challenge stereotypes, reduce biases, and create a more equitable and just society. Mentees will develop the skills and gain the insights needed to effectively manage and enhance client relationships, gain perspective on leadership and strategic thinking, and learn how employee resource groups effectively build strategies that foster a culture of belonging and inclusion for all.
