Bio: Fernanda graduated with a degree in Actuarial Science in 2019 and has been dedicated to Risk Management since starting her career as a trainee at American Express Mexico in 2018. With a focus on operational risk, she is passionate about implementing innovative solutions to streamline processes, such as developing internal data collection apps and automating reporting with Power BI and Power Automate. Currently, at Principal, she has spent the last two years enhancing internal reporting processes for various risk frameworks and teams.
As an active advocate for the LGBT community, Fernanda has consistently engaged in initiatives throughout her career. From her early days at American Express, she has organized participation in LGBT parades in Mexico. At Principal, she contributed to a panel in collaboration with LGBT Great, where she emphasized the importance of allyship and visibility in the workplace, sharing her perspective coming from her intersectionality as a lesbian Latina. Additionally, she has partnered with Mexico’s local HR team to promote LGBT community activities, leading to a significant participation of colleagues for this year's parade, marking the company's inaugural participation.
