Cyber Consultant / Pride Alliance Co-Chair at Aon
About
Bio: Emma is a Consultant in the Intelligence team within Cyber Security at Aon. Her role involves threat monitoring for clients and conducting investigations.
Emma is deeply passionate about inclusion and diversity in the workplace and beyond and her voluntary roles at Aon are very important to her. As part of Aon’s Pride Alliance Committee, and for the last 2 years its co-Chair, Emma has been involved in organising and leading Aon in Pride marches, in hosting speaker events and panel discussions, and in coordinating charity projects supporting elderly LGBTQ+ people in the community. She has also been integral to developing safe spaces for LGBTQ+ colleagues and allies by hosting monthly “Rainbow Cafés” and supporting active internal networks.
Emma also co-leads Aon’s Women in Cyber group – a network seeking to create visibility, advocate for inclusive excellence as well as empowerment and opportunities for women in cyber to thrive. Emma volunteers at a local Primary School as a weekly reading partner and has also volunteered in Aon’s Work Insights programme, an initiative that enables work experience for young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
She holds a Masters in Arabic from the University of Edinburgh and is a CREST certified Practitioner Threat Intelligence Analyst (CPTIA).
