Bio: Kabir Alam is a Business Manager at HSBC and winner of British LGBT+ Diversity Hero of the Year 2023 and HSBC’s D&I Spotlight award 2022.
Kabir is passionate to enable everyone to be their best selves at work and focus onto the underrepresented parts of the community and intersectional identities supporting gender equality, black ethnic minorities and disabled colleagues by creating events that highlight issues faced within these communities. Kabir hopes that providing insight for those outside of these communities, but support those within them, empowers them to be their best selves.
Kabir is a massive advocate to create a more inclusive working environment for all by promoting Employee Resources Groups, embedding safe spaces for all employees, using inclusive language and driving diversity training programs for everyone.
