About
Bio: Fran is a Chartered Accountant and joined Lane Clark & Peacock (LCP), as a Covenant Services Consultant in 2017. Alongside her day to day advisory role, she is also the Co-Chair and Founder of LCP's LGBT+ network, which was set up in early 2018. This network forms a key part of the Diversity and Inclusion initiatives which are a core part of LCP's corporate values.
One of the first achievements of the LGBT+ network was LCP's highly successful internal launch event, which attracted around 100 LGBT+ partners, staff and allies - almost 20% of the firm from a wide range of departments and both the London and Winchester offices. This event also raised money for the Albert Kennedy Trust, the UK's LGBT+ youth homelessness charity.
Fran is hugely passionate about spreading the message that equality, diversity and inclusion is critical to the happiness of employees. This has been well demonstrated by feedback from the initial launch event being overwhelmingly positive, and generating considerable staff interest in engagement in the LGBT+ network going forwards.
LCP has also partnered with Stonewall to become a Diversity Champion. From this, a key next step for the LGBT+ network is to co-ordinate LCP's inaugural submission to Stonewall's 2019 Workplace Equality Index and use this process to identify and highlight areas where the firm can do even more to create an inclusive and welcoming workplace environment. Fran also recently trained with Stonewall on being an LGBT+ Role Model.
Everyone can make a difference to improve inclusivity, equality and diversity in our industry, which is why Fran is honoured to be an LGBT Great Role Model and looks forward to helping champion this change.
