Bio: Shawn Lupi is a Director within Global Operations and Technology Finance at BNY Mellon in New York. He has been with BNY Mellon since the beginning of his professional career, progressing through the roles of Analyst, Associate, Senior Associate, Vice President to his current role as Director. He began in Asset Servicing and then transitioned to the finance organization in 2011 where he supported Investment Management, Operations, and Wealth Management’s family office, international, and regional revenue segments.

Since 2017, Shawn has been part of Technology Finance in multiple roles including Application Development and Core Technology Finance Manager, Technology FP&A Manager, and most recently the CFO of Operations & Technology for Market & Wealth Services, Issuer Services, and Investment & Wealth Management businesses.

Shawn has a BSBA in finance and information systems management, and an MBA in finance from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attributes his success to his ability to build solid relationships at all levels as well as his desire to better understand the company and its various product offerings.

Outside work, Shawn can be found working on his personal fitness journey at Equinox and spending time in the various New York City parks and riverfront. He loves to travel and has a passion for aviation (“AvGeek”) and keeps himself updated on the airline industry. Shawn’s motivations for LGBT+ inclusion and equality come from his own experience, with him only coming to terms with his identity at an age of 30, so he wants to help others on their journey to embrace their authentic selves.
