Nikki Ayriss
Partner at Lane Clark & Peacock
About
Bio: Nikki Ayriss is a Partner at Lane, Clark & Peacock based in the UK. She joined LCP as a graduate training to be an actuary. Since then, she has worked up to become a partner (including qualifying as an actuary) and focuses her attention on working with companies that sponsor pension schemes – helping them understand and manage such schemes.
Nikki grew up in Stubbington and was the first person in her immediate family to go to sixth form or university. She studied maths in her undergraduate followed by a Master’s in mathematical biology with a focus on infectious diseases.
Nikki says that her passion to understand her clients and their business operations is vital in supporting them in the best way possible. She attributes her success to getting stuck in on any work she does. Outside of work, you can find her in the gym challenging herself to lift heavier weights. She also enjoys her walks with her dog, Claude and her partner.
Nikki’s passion for LGBT+ inclusion comes from a young age when she went to a school prom with her close male gay friend. The amount of teasing they faced made her think about the support she can provide to the community which has to go through this every day.
Nikki comments:
“I am proud to work for LCP because I know that the people around me care, that I have a voice and that I can be part of any change I want to see. “
“I am proud to be a Project 1000 Role Model because I think it is really important to show those around me, within the industry and more widely, that they can be themselves at work, that I am there for them, I will support them and that they are a valued member of our team, regardless of their sexuality.”
