LGBT Great: Platform Community Code of Conduct

Welcome to the LGBT Great Member Community!

We are delighted to have you. Our communities are dedicated spaces for member organisations, role models and mentors to connect, engage, and share best practices through cross-organisation dialogues and 1:1 interaction. These communities stand to support our mission to make Financial Services the sector of choice for LGBT+ talent, clients, and investors.

To achieve our mission, we have created a Code of Conduct (‘the Conduct Guidelines’) to ensure all members feel safe and protected. The Conduct Guidelines below cover all written communications posted on any global, or community space, on our Platform. These Conduct Guidelines cover any direct messages sent within the Platform. They apply to all users, irrespective of seniority or membership level or type. We ask that all engagement on our Platform, and with other members, be guided by respect, common sense, and empathy.

All Platform Community Members must agree to follow the below Conduct Guidelines:

1. Be tolerant: Members may have different opinions, viewpoints, or perspectives. We ask members to remain agreeable to others and to engage in respectful discussion, even when opinions differ.

2. Be respectful: We are proud to be creating a space that celebrates and protects LGBT+ people – please be mindful of others’ preferred pronouns and do not “out” others in the community.

3. No discrimination of any kind: Comments (public) or messages (private) that degrade or discriminate based on race, religion, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, or abilities are not acceptable. Such comments will be deleted, and users may be restricted in their access to future events or removed altogether from the platform.

4. No spam: This includes self-promotion, projects, or product advertisements. Note: this does not cover instances of sharing real life experiences, or best practice examples.

5. No trolling: Conversations should be on-topic. Please do not abuse the spaces for off-topic discussions / trolling. LGBT Great: Platform Community Code of Conduct

6. No explicit or inappropriate material: Please do not post NSFW material of any kind (which may include profanity, nudity or sexually explicit content).

7. No Personal information / Doxxing: Do not post or reveal any personal information about another person.

8. Respect confidentiality: Our Platform offers the opportunity to engage with a cross-organisation and global community. We ask that members acknowledge comments and messages may be shared in confidence and that members respect that confidence.

9. Respect and help moderations: Our moderators cannot be everywhere, so please support us by reporting any instances of members breaching these guidelines. If this occurs, please email info@lgbtgreat.com

Moderation and Reporting Abuse:

Adherence to these guidelines shall be determined under the sole direction of LGBT Great and assigned moderators. We retain the right to remove or edit any post which compromises our community guidelines without prior notice and with immediate effect. Please note that the information above is not exhaustive and any conduct deemed inappropriate may result in its removal or the withdrawal of user privileges.
