Overview
In this awareness session, LGBT Great takes attendees on a journey uncovering the sentiment of LGBTQ+ talent and allies when looking for a new employer, using their latest research. Attendees then learn about LGBTQ+ and ally perception of the financial services industry, followed by an exploration of data disclosure patterns exhibited by them. At the end, attendees receive practical recommendations on how to attract underrepresented talent.
Learning Outcomes for Attendees:
- The Needs of LGBTQ+ Talent: Explore what specific elements LGBTQ+ talent prioritises when looking for a new employer. (~10 minutes)
- The Importance of an Inclusive Culture: Gain data-backed insights into why an inclusive culture remains crucial when recruiting underrepresented talent. (~15 minutes)
- The Perception of Financial Services: Understand how LGBTQ+ talent and allies perceive different elements of the financial services industry. (~10 minutes)
- DE&I Data Exhibition Patterns: Discover the patterns talent exhibits when disclosing their DE&I data to organisations across the recruiting lifecycle; understand their concerns and inhibitions in doing so. (~15 minutes)
- Practical Tips: Finish the session with pragmatic tips that recruitment professionals and organisations can incorporate to better attract and retain LGBTQ+ talent and other underrepresented communities. (~ 5 minutes)
- Dedicated Q/A: A dedicated Q/A slot at the end of the session. (~5 minutes)
Length: 45-60 minutes
Format: Zoom/Teams Webinar, PowerPoint Presentation with live Q&A, chat and live polling. (In-Person sessions available on-demand)
