Sarah joined Janus Henderson Investors as a graduate in 2017, through the Investment 20/20 scheme which champions diversity and inclusion in the Investment Management Industry. She now works as a Regulatory Reporting Executive within Janus Henderson, after moving from Governance and Risk Management in Operations.
During her time at Janus Henderson, she has been involved in a number of diversity endeavours and measures - which she is very passionate about. She is a participant in the newly established Gender Diversity network as well as her firm’s LGBT Pride Network, which is a work in progress. The LGBT Pride Network hopes to work towards creating an inclusive and open working environment, in which all colleagues feel supported and as comfortable as they need.
The LGBT Great initiative is hugely important for visibility and openness within a stereotypically conservative industry such as Investment Management. The opportunity to connect to and share experiences and knowledge with other LGBT+ people (and allies) is hugely beneficial, and will contribute to an inclusive and open environment for a diversity which, in its essence, is centralised around visibility.
Sarah holds a BCom in Finance and a BA in International Relations from the University of Sydney, Australia, and holds the Investment Management Certificate.
Outside of work, Sarah plays hockey with an LGBT hockey club, the London Royals, which she loves and can feel a part of the community while simultaneously burning a few calories.
