Catherine Drummond

Cat is qualified actuary and a partner in LCP’s insurance practice.  She has over a decade of consulting experience and helps her clients understand and manage their insurance risks better.  Her particular fields of expertise are Solvency II and risk management and she is experienced in communicating to boards and risk committees across a variety of topics.

She is a Co-Chair and Founder of LCP’s LGBT+ network and works with LCP’s wider Diversity and Inclusion Group to drive forward LGBT+ initiatives across the firm.  The group was conceived in early 2018 and formally launched in June 2018 with an event which attracted over 100 LGBT+ partners, staff and allies and raised money for the Albert Kennedy Trust, the UK's LGBT+ youth homelessness charity.

She believes passionately in the importance of nurturing a people-first, inclusive and diverse workplace and works closely with LCP’s management team to ensure these values are embedded in LCP’s corporate strategy and culture.  LCP was delighted to be recently recognised for our work in promoting and supporting diversity, by being the first ever recipient of the Award for Supporting Diversity at the Professional Pensions Women in Pensions Awards 2018.

Cat recently qualified as a Mental Health First Aider, as well as having trained with Stonewall on being an LGBT+ Role Model.

She has a Masters degree in Physics from Imperial University.
