Carolyn is a partner within LCP’s investment department. She is a qualified actuary and has over 20 years of experience advising her pension scheme clients on investment strategy, manager selection and monitoring. Alongside her client work, Carolyn is staff partner within the investment team and works with LCP’s management team to ensure that diversity and inclusion are embedded in our culture. Her remit includes recruitment, promotion processes, work allocation and mentoring.
Carolyn is a vocal supporter of diversity and inclusion within LCP and is a supporter of the LGBT+ network. Her previous experience of supporting LCP’s Women’s Network, combined with experience in previous roles, means that she is aware of the need for a more inclusive environment in the wider investment industry. Carolyn also encourages asset managers to get involved with wider diversity initiatives.
She strongly believes that the value of diversity can only be recognised alongside inclusion, and advocates for an environment where everyone feels able to share their views. She is a member of the Diversity & Inclusion steering group, with a focus on career development. At LCP, Carolyn has introduced “Resume”, which is a programme designed to get people back into the workforce after a prolonged break. Carolyn won the “Best Coach” award at the inaugural LCP Cares awards in 2017, reflecting her leadership, coaching and development of others.
