D. Han (He/Him/His)

LGBT Great Intern

Han is a graduate student in Educational Assessment from the University of Oxford, having completed a BA in Education in South Korea. His current research is focused on designing a universal competency-based assessment system which is fair to every test-taker, irrespective of demographics or background. After completing his BA, he spent five years as schoolteacher in South Korea. He also spent a year in Botswana as part of an inter-government programme, where he worked as teacher and an educational consultant for foreign-aid projects. This experience kickstarted his interest in DE&I, in particular issues such as girls' education and ethnic minority education.

Recently, he completed an internship at UNESCO Bangkok, where he was involved in designing and implementing a leadership programme for policymakers and teenagers throughout the APAC region. The programme brought together a range of human-rights experts from around the world to drive positive action locally and globally across a range of issues.

As a proud member of the LGBT+ community, he hopes to expand his experience and expertise in DE&I within business/financial services context. As an LGBT Great intern, Han will support the delivery of a wide range of LGBT Great’s research and data projects.
