LGBT Great Intern
Charlie is a Research Master’s Student at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) in Spain. Charlie studied his undergraduate degree in International Relations with Mandarin at the University of Kent, as part of which he completed a year abroad at the People’s University of China (中国人民大学), Beijing. During his Master’s, he founded an LGBT+ student organisation at IBEI as a way of integrating the LGBT+ community with the wider student population as well as providing a space for events and social opportunities.
LGBT+ Great represents Charlie’s first professional internship. His primary focus will be supporting the delivery of LGBT Great’s research and data programmes. He is keen to explore client relations and strategy to gain a wider understanding of financial services. He speaks Castilian Spanish and conversational Mandarin.
He has always been passionate about the LGBT+ community and hopes that working at LGBT great will allow him to further his personal commitment to increasing the diversity and inclusion of the LGBT+ community across financial services.
